Mika Adams-Woods is ready for this upcoming AAU season, as he will play a big part for the Albany City Rocks. As the AAU season has now gotten underway, the 6-foot-2 guard has worked hard on his game and will continue to do so.
“I think some of my strengths right now is my ability to pass and my ability to get to the basket although I could work on finishing more through contact. I would say the main thing I’m working on right now is just leading the team.”
When it comes to recruiting, three schools seem to stick out the most to Woods.
“Georgia Tech, George Washington, and St. Bonaventure stay in contact with me the most,” he informed Elevate Hoops. “I know more schools will be offering and showing interest during the summer.”
The Yellow Jackets seem to make Woods a priority.
“Coach (Josh) Pastner texts me the most and I’d say they're coming after me the hardest right now and they always show me love. The night they played ‘Cuse, Pastner actually wanted me to suit up for the game.”
The Bonnies are also interested in the crafty point guard.
“The head coach (Mark Schmidt) came to watch me workout earlier this month and he basically said the same thing that he wants me to come play for his program.”
George Washington constantly stays in contact with Woods as well.
“The assistant coach (Chris) Holm told me he wants me to come on a visit there soon. He also always texts me to see how I am and he tells me I’m doing a good job and to keep working hard too.”
