Charles Monroe hosted the All City Classic (New York vs. Philly) this past weekend as players from New York came to Philadelphia to compete in the rivalry set of games. Here are four standouts from the class of 2020:
Ahmad Fair – Class of 2020 (Neumann-Goretti)
The Philly native guard left a very strong statement in game one as he was named MVP for the Philadelphia side recording 16 points. He used his handle to create space against his defenders and got others involved in multiple plays. The 6-foot guard claimed an offer from Northern Arizona.
Posh Alexander – Class of 2020 (Our Savior Lutheran)
Alexander was named MVP for the New York side with 12 points as he displayed his athleticism and bounce. He did a fairly good job of rebounding on both ends of the floor as well as pushing the pace on offense. The next step for the New York native would be to establish a consistent shot and to force less plays.
Zed Key – Class of 2020 (Brentwood)
At 6-foot-8, Key was dominant inside as he showed patience and touch around the basket. As Key scored 12 points, the polished NY Jayhawks product also contested shots inside and grabbed eight rebounds. He has offers from UMass, Stony Brook, Iona, and Cincinnati.
Mikeal Jones – Class of 2020 (Girard College)
Team Final product Jones showed versatility as he put the ball on the floor and while connecting on a couple of mid-range shots. The 6-foot-8 forward also blocked and contested shot after shot at the rim. Jones has offers from Villanova, Penn State, and La Salle.
