Five-star prospect Nassir Little has committed to Roy Williams and North Carolina, he tells Elevate Hoops.

“I’m going to North Carolina,” Little said. “They want me to come in as a freshman and just impact. They’re losing Theo Pinson this year so they need another guy on the wing that can just make plays and play defensive and can score the ball.”

For many fans that haven’t seen the athletic 6-foot-7 wing play, Little gave a breakdown of what he is capable of doing on the floor.

“For me, I can shoot it. Offensively, I can create mismatches. If I have a big guy, I can score in the paint and take him off the dribble. Smaller guy, I can take him down low. So they love my versatility and I play hard and I play with the kind of toughness they like. On the defensive end, I can make plays and just rebound and do whatever it takes to win.”

Being a very high academic prospect, Little already seems to know what he wants to major in. During the official visit, he asked the current players on the UNC team how they felt about their classes.

“It played a big part,” said Little when asked about how much academics played a factor in his decision. “I went on the official visit and I talked to the players and they have a lot of returning guys so I asked them how they felt the school academically and they said they loved it. For me, I’m looking to major in communications and I heard that field is pretty good there.”
