Class of 2018 forward Keyontae Johnson is ready for this summer. As the 6-foot-5 Boo Williams (VA) wing is best known for his athleticism and his ability to attack the basket, he broke down what he wants to improve on as a player and the latest surrounding his recruitment.
Johnson wants to keep working on his jump shot, as that will allow him to expand his game even more.
“I’m trying to keep working on my three-point shot, coming off the dribble, and my mid range because I’m explosive going to the rack so if I can add that to my game, I’ll be good.”
Aside from developing as a player, Johnson listed three programs that are currently standing out to him starting with Georgia Tech.
“I like how they get better each year and I like how coach Josh (Pastner) lets his guys go.”
Texas Tech is a school he mentioned that is recruiting him hard as well.
“Texas Tech, their program is getting better and better so that’s what I like and they told me when I come in the seniors will be gone so I’ll be one of their guys.”
The Providence Friars seemed to have been recruiting Johnson the longest.
“They’ve been recruiting me for the longest and I’ve visited them twice so I really like them a lot.”
