Devin Vassell raised his stock this past weekend at the Terrific 24 as he showed a smooth shooting stroke with size, length, and athleticism. Late last night, he verbally committed to Florida State and he spoke about his decision and what he can bring to the Seminoles.
From Georgia, the 6-foot-5 wing, felt like he was in the right situation with the commitment and the FSU coaching staff.
“The decision to go to FSU just felt right honestly. Coach (Charlton) Young, who recruited me, said he saw what I could be and told me how successful I could be,” said Vassell. “He also kept it real and told me what I needed to work on. FSU was my first high major offer and going to FSU just felt like my best opportunity,” he added.
The 2018 wing also spoke about what he can bring to the Seminoles.
“I feel like I can bring a lot of energy,” said Vassell. “I can be a strong leader and really just help the team in any way they need.”
Devin Vassell is the first commit for the FSU 2018 class.
